Notes: Microsoft Warranty repair and RMAs require you to register the device/product with your Microsoft account. Once the device/product is registered, you are given the option to “Start order”. You will be asked a series of questions to help identify next steps.
Request Repair Steps:
- Create a Microsoft account at http://www.microsoft.com and sign in.
- Go to Hardware warranty and services (microsoft.com) and click on “Check Warranty Status”. This will take you to a list of devices attached to your Microsoft account. If you have logged into your device or product with your microsoft account before, your product should be listed. If not, on the top of the page click “Register your device”.
- Find your device and click the Register button, if your device hasn’t been registered already. Then click on the “Info & support” menu for your device.
- To start a service ticket for your device, click on “Start order” and follow the prompts.
Request Online Support:
- Create a Microsoft account at http://www.microsoft.com and sign in.
- Go to Contact Us – Microsoft Support and choose your microsoft product from the available options and follow the prompts. (for Surface products go here Surface help & learning (microsoft.com))
