Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Review – Respawn, Electronic Arts & LucasFilm
Hello, fellow gamers! Today I’m going to review a game that has been making waves in the gaming community: Jedi Survivor. This game is a survival horror game set in the Star Wars universe, where you play as a Jedi who has crash-landed on a hostile planet and must fend off waves of enemies using your lightsaber and Force powers. Sounds awesome, right? Well, let’s see if it lives up to the hype.
First of all, let me say that the graphics and sound design of this game are amazing. The environments are detailed and immersive, the enemies are varied and menacing, and the lightsaber and Force effects are stunning. The game really makes you feel like you’re in a Star Wars movie, and that’s a huge plus for any fan of the franchise.
The gameplay is also very engaging and challenging. You have to scavenge for resources, craft items, upgrade your skills, and explore the map while avoiding or fighting enemies. The combat system is fluid and responsive, and you can use different strategies depending on the situation. You can slash your way through enemies with your lightsaber, use Force push or pull to manipulate objects or enemies, or even mind-trick some enemies to make them fight for you. The game also has a permadeath feature, which means that if you die, you have to start over from the beginning. This adds a lot of tension and excitement to the game, as every decision matters and every mistake can be fatal.
However, the game is not without its flaws. One of the biggest issues I have with this game is the lack of story and character development. The game does not give you much background information about your character, the planet you’re on, or the enemies you face. You’re just thrown into the action without any context or motivation. The game also does not have any dialogue or cutscenes, which makes it feel very repetitive and bland after a while. I wish the game had more depth and variety in its narrative and gameplay.
Overall, Jedi Survivor is a game that has a lot of potential but also a lot of flaws. It’s a game that will appeal to hardcore Star Wars fans and survival horror enthusiasts, but it might alienate or frustrate other gamers who are looking for a more balanced and enjoyable experience. I give this game a 6/10.
