Xbox Series X and S Performance Details Ahead of 2025 Launch
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to bring its co-op creature-slaying action to Xbox consoles in February 2025, and ahead of its release, Capcom has revealed the performance details for Xbox Series X and S.
On the Xbox Series X, Monster Hunter Wilds will offer two gameplay modes. The ‘Prioritize Graphics’ mode runs at 1728p with 30FPS, while the ‘Prioritize Framerate’ mode targets 1080p at 60FPS. The Xbox Series S, on the other hand, will have only one gameplay mode, running at 1080p and 30FPS.
For those wondering about the PlayStation 5, it will feature the same specs as the Xbox Series X, meaning no performance differences between the two platforms. While fans are hoping for a 60FPS mode on the Series S in the future, it seems unlikely given the current specs.
Despite having a fun time with the beta last month, there were some noticeable performance issues on Xbox, even on the Series X. Hopefully, Capcom will have enough time over the next couple of months to fine-tune the game and ensure Monster Hunter Wilds meets its performance goals when it launches on February 28, 2025.
